At the age of eight she began to take clases with Laura López. By the age fo thirteen she would enter the flamenco dance academy "Amor de Dios" where she would study with María Magdalena. Later on she would perfect her dancing style and technique with Ciro, Güito, Raul, Angel Torres, Pedro Azorín, etc.

At the age of fourteen she began to debut as a professional, working as a main dancer throughout many dance companies and tablaos, some of which are mentioned below:

In addition to working with her own company, she has also been invited to colaborate with other famous artists like Dieguito, Jernimo Maya, Juan Ramirez and Tomatito.

Some of the music festivals in which she has participated include the "Viena Tanz" (1996) along with other young artists, "Carnegie Hall" (1994) in New York along with Elton John, Diana Ross, Sting, Mstislav Rostropovich and James Taylor. She has also danced for Lady Diana (1992) at Buckinham Palace, London.

Belen currently teaches at "Amor de Dios" in Madrid. Outside of Spain she has given group and private clases in flamenco technique and dance styles. She has taught in the United States, the United Kingdom, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Brazil, Japan, Australia etc.

She has also appeared as the main actress in the short film "Passover" directed by Jamil Dehlavi (1994), which was filmed in Cordoba and Madrid.
